Xinda Transformer Conducts Market Research in Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan
Under the theme of “Deepening China–Saudi Cooperation and Expanding New Opportunities in Green Energy,” Xinda Transformer Co., Ltd. comprehensively showcased its strengths, leveraging the policy benefits of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to promote strategic cooperation in power equipment, new energy, logistics, and industrial parks.
From April 13 to April 21, 2025, Ms. Kong Lingyue, Head of the Marketing Department, joined a delegation organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce on an economic and trade mission to Saudi Arabia. During the first stop, the delegation held talks with Mr. Zhang Xing, President of the Saudi Chinese Business Association, and Mr. Tang Lin, Vice President, to explore infrastructure investment opportunities under Saudi Vision 2030. Both sides reached preliminary intentions on localized production of power equipment and joint bidding for new energy projects.
During a visit to Aiduke Logistics’ Riyadh Longcheng facility, the Xinda team analyzed key challenges in Saudi import trade. It was noted that all goods exported to Saudi Arabia must obtain PCoC and SC certifications in advance. The team recommended prioritizing Aiduke’s integrated “customs clearance + tax-inclusive logistics + warehousing and distribution” services to reduce compliance risks. Project leaders Mr. Wang and Mr. Ding expressed their willingness to provide customized “warehousing + exhibition + logistics” integrated solutions for Xinda Transformer and other Shandong enterprises.
With guidance from the Consulate General of China in Jeddah, the Xinda team proposed a cooperation framework centered on “green infrastructure + smart power and new energy.” By participating in the 2025 China Shandong Export Commodities (Jeddah) Expo, the company aims to connect with major projects such as NEOM City and the Red Sea tourism development.
On April 17, the delegation proceeded to Azerbaijan to carry out specialized economic and trade cooperation activities. At the first stop, Xinda established in-depth engagement with the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, identifying the needs of 12 target enterprises in sectors such as new energy power equipment and building materials. Both sides reached a consensus on promoting coordinated energy and power infrastructure development between Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan, with plans to utilize the Djibouti cross-border e-commerce exhibition center as a hub to connect Middle Eastern and Central Asian markets.
This matchmaking event adopted a dual-driven model of “industry promotion + reverse procurement one-on-one meetings.” Leveraging holographic projection technology at the Hyatt Regency Baku, Xinda dynamically showcased its industrial strengths.
Moving Forward with Innovation and Vision
At the new starting point of the next decade of the Belt and Road Initiative, Xinda Transformer is using its Saudi technical center as a strategic hub to expand into Gulf countries such as Azerbaijan, Oman, and Kuwait, building a power equipment service network covering a population of 120 million. Over the next three years, the company will focus on the development of the “Digital Silk Road,” aiming to establish a transformer industrial ecosystem platform and bring new vitality to “Made in China” across desert regions.
From the shores of the Yellow Sea to the Persian Gulf, Xinda Transformer continues to demonstrate innovation, technical excellence, and a spirit of open cooperation, contributing to high-quality Belt and Road development.
This market visit marks the initial formation of Xinda Transformer’s full-chain layout in the Saudi market, integrating policy, channels, and production capacity. By strengthening cooperation with Saudi government and enterprises and leveraging Shandong’s foreign trade resources, Xinda will continue to promote the global adoption of Chinese power equipment standards and enhance the presence of “Shandong Manufacturing” in the Middle East’s infrastructure boom.
