Xinda Transformer Co., Ltd. Conducts Market Investigation in Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan
Under the theme of “Deepening China–Saudi Cooperation and Expanding New Opportunities in Green Energy,” Xinda Transformer fully showcased its strengths, leveraging the policy dividends of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to promote strategic cooperation in power equipment, renewable energy, logistics, and industrial parks.
From April 13 to April 21, 2025, Ms. Kong Lingyue, Head of the Marketing Department of Xinda Transformer, joined a delegation organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce to conduct an economic and trade inspection in Saudi Arabia. During the first stop, the delegation held talks with Mr. Zhang Xing, President of the Saudi Chinese Business Association, and Mr. Tang Lin, Vice President, to explore infrastructure investment opportunities under Saudi Vision 2030. Both sides reached preliminary intentions on localized production of power equipment and joint bidding for renewable energy projects.
During a visit to Aiduke Logistics Riyadh Dragon City Company, the Xinda team analyzed key challenges in Saudi import trade. All goods exported to Saudi Arabia must obtain PCoC and SC certifications in advance. It is recommended that enterprises adopt Aiduke’s integrated “double clearance, tax-inclusive, warehousing and distribution” service to reduce compliance risks. Mr. Wang and Mr. Ding, project leaders, stated that they would prioritize customized integrated solutions of “warehousing + display + logistics” for Xinda Transformer and other Shandong enterprises.
Under the guidance of the Consulate General of China in Jeddah, the Xinda team proposed a cooperation direction focused on “green infrastructure + smart power and renewable energy.” By participating in the 2025 China Shandong Export Commodities (Jeddah) Fair, the company aims to connect with major projects such as NEOM New City and the Red Sea tourism development.
On April 17, the delegation proceeded to Azerbaijan for specialized economic and trade cooperation activities. The first stop included in-depth engagement with the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Association, identifying the needs of 12 target companies in sectors such as new energy power equipment and building hardware. Both sides reached consensus on “Saudi–Azerbaijan coordinated development in energy and power infrastructure” and plan to utilize the Djibouti cross-border e-commerce exhibition center to expand into both Middle Eastern and Central Asian markets.
This matchmaking event adopted a dual-driven model of “industry promotion + one-on-one reverse procurement.” With the support of holographic projection technology at the Hyatt Regency Baku, Xinda Transformer’s industrial strengths were dynamically presented.
Moving Forward with Innovation
At the new decade milestone of the Belt and Road Initiative, Xinda Transformer is using its Saudi technical center as a strategic hub to expand into Gulf countries such as Azerbaijan, Oman, and Kuwait, building a power equipment service network covering 120 million people. Over the next three years, the company will focus on the development of the “Digital Silk Road,” aiming to establish a transformer industrial ecosystem platform and bring Chinese intelligent manufacturing to new heights in desert regions.
From the Yellow Sea to the Persian Gulf, Xinda Transformer continues to demonstrate innovation, technical expertise, and openness, contributing to high-quality Belt and Road development.
This inspection marks the initial formation of Xinda Transformer’s full-chain layout in the Saudi market, covering “policy, channels, and production capacity.” By deepening cooperation with Saudi government and enterprises and leveraging Shandong’s premium export resources, Xinda Transformer will continue to promote Chinese power equipment standards globally and strengthen the position of “Shandong Manufacturing” in the Middle East’s infrastructure boom.
