1. Product Overview

The 10kV SCB18 epoxy resin cast dry-type transformer is a top-level product that meets China’s National Level 1 Energy Efficiency (NX1) in the distribution field. It is developed in accordance with GB 20052-2020/2024 Limit Values and Energy Efficiency Levels of Power Transformers, representing the flagship upgraded version of the SCB series.

Based on the SCB14 (Level 2 energy efficiency), it achieves comprehensive improvements in energy efficiency, noise reduction and reliability.

It adopts 0.23mm ultra-thin high-permeability silicon steel sheets, multi-step stepped lap core technology and high-precision vacuum casting. Its core loss reaches the top level in the industry. It is oil-free, fireproof, explosion-proof and eco-friendly, fully complying with GB/T 1094.1-2013, GB/T 1094.3-2017 and other national standards.

As an ideal distribution equipment under the national “Dual Carbon” strategy, it is widely used in large data centers, high-end commercial complexes, new energy supporting facilities, precision manufacturing and other scenarios with extremely high requirements for efficiency, silence and reliability. It can be directly installed at the building load center and adapt to various harsh operating environments, realizing energy saving, consumption reduction, safe and stable operation throughout its life cycle.

  • S: Three-phase transformer, suitable for industrial and civil three‑phase power distribution with high stability, capable of meeting large‑scale power demand.

  • C: Epoxy resin cast insulation, using high heat‑resistant, high flame‑retardant and low‑loss epoxy resin via vacuum casting, providing high‑end insulation, moistureproof and dustproof performance.

  • B: Foil winding structure made of high‑precision copper foil, featuring excellent conductivity, ultra‑low loss, high mechanical strength and outstanding short‑circuit withstand capability. Wire winding can be customized for special requirements.

  • 18: Performance level code corresponding to National Level 1 Energy Efficiency (NX1) – the highest standard for dry-type transformers. Loss is greatly reduced compared with SCB14.

  • Rated voltage: 10kV class (HV: 10kV, tap adjustable ±5%/±2×2.5%). LV default: 0.4kV. Custom voltages such as 11kV, 0.69kV, 1.14kV are available.

6. Operation & Maintenance Instructions

  • Installation: Good ventilation and sufficient heat dissipation space; ambient temperature ‑25℃ ~ +55℃; keep away from flammable/explosive materials.

  • Pre-commissioning: Test insulation resistance, polarization index; check wiring, temperature controller, communication and grounding.

  • Routine maintenance: Clean dust on windings at least once a year; check temperature controller, connections, grounding and communication.

  • Shutdown & restart: Test insulation before reactivation after long shutdown; no drying needed. Check condensation in cold/humid weather.

  • Fault handling: In case of over-temperature alarm/trip, check overload, ventilation or temperature controller first. Do not reset blindly. Only qualified personnel may perform maintenance.
