Ring Main Unit

Ring Main Unit (RMU) is a compact, factory assembled, metal enclosed medium voltage switchgear (7.2kV–36kV, 50/60Hz) for ring network distribution. It integrates load break switches, disconnectors, earthing switches, fuses/circuit breakers, and protection modules. Available in SF6 gas, solid, or air insulated types. Features three position interlocks, IP65+ sealing, low maintenance, and fault isolation. Complies with IEC 62271 200. Ideal for urban grids, industrial parks, and compact substations.
